Landing March 2021, the Cardinal is the latest addition to the Basis Electric Bike range. Designed to tick the box of both a charming and quaint traditional styled bicycle with a British touch, and a comfortable, practical everyday companion.

While right at home breezing along the cobbled streets or canal banks of Canterbury, the Cardinal is designed with componentry to broaden it's capability and serve as a versatile, reliable means of travel or leisure. Powered through a 250w rear hub motor, the Cardinal utilises a rack-mounted Li-Ion battery to offer up to 40 miles of adventure (depending on battery model), with a handlebar mounted LED display allowing you to alter between 3 modes of assistance and reserve/increase power to adaprt to your surroundings. 

As with most step-through bicycles, comfort is at the forefront of the Cardinal's ethos. It's frame adopting a low-step geometry to ensure eease when mounting, and it's short handlebar reach to maintain a natural posture. You'll find that the suspension forks and 26" trekking wheels will iron out the cobbles and rural terrain, in turn aspiring a confidence.

Supported by a 7 speed Shimano gearing system and responsive V-Brakes, you have a trusty companion in the Basis Cardinal.

Available in a 7.8Ah Rigid model, and a 13Ah Front Suspension model.
